Aubrey and Hugo Cabret

Aubrey asked about my mom today. I told her I was worried about her. She asked if she'd be okay. I told her I didn't know.

Then, before bed, we read the last chapter of the wonderful book, The Invention of Hugo Cabret. Here are the first two sentences of that chapter:

Time can play all sorts of tricks on you.

In the blink of an eye, babies appear in carriages, coffins disappear into the ground, wars are won, and children transform, like butterflies, into adults.

Yes, time is a jerk that way.
